Ian is the founder and CEO of Token Metrics. He has appeared in CNBC, Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Insider, and Entrepreneur Magazine for his work in cryptocurrencies, analytics and entrepreneurship.
A former analytics evangelist at IBM Watson, he brings a data-driven, “moneyball” approach to investing in crypto.
In 2017, Ian used this approach to turn $20,000 into over $5 million. He did this while publicly documenting his investments via an online spreadsheet, and that work formed the basis of the Token Metrics platform.
Originally from humble means, Mr. Balina is dedicated to giving back through his philanthropic efforts with Children of Uganda and Black Girls Code.
